You know you would like to grow your own herbs and have thought about quite a bit, but you still don’t feel confident because of uncertainy; questions about what works, what kind of soil, should you start with seeds or plants, young or old, outdoors or indoors, and on and on Alright then, just try to stand back a moment and put it into perspective.There is an easy approach for you to actually start your garden right now and have the freedom to answer the bigger questions later on: get yourself the right herb garden kit!

A good kit will answer many of those questions for you, primarily about what soil to use and what plants to start with.

There are dozens and dozens of different herb garden kits available. Deciding which to buy is sort of like deciding on a car. Do you want a zippy sports car, a sedan, a coup, a limo, a truck, etc. You must decide beforehand what you want and what you need so you can make a wise choice. Herb garden kits are available in many different categories including culinary, Italian, medicinal, herbal tea, German and many more. They come full equipped with seeds, planting media and instructions so you can get started almost immediately.

Glass or plastic domes are frequent parts of many of the herb garden kits you will find. These will fit over the top of your plantings and provide proper humidity and stabilized temperatures. Others will include recipes and tips for harvesting and storing. Just be sure before you start that you at least have some idea of what you want to get out of your herb garden so that you choose your kit appropriately. All kits will include the seeds and the soil mix (or pellet mix) to get you started.

You may become surprised what a growing delight (pun intended) having your herb garden will be for you, providing convenience and beauty. Even if you eventually decide you want to move it outside, you may also decide to always have a small one growing indoors for those reasons. Fresh herbs, picked whenever wanted, will be a tremendous benefit, and their wonderful taste may enhance your culinary reputation as well. You will also enjoy the visual appeal of green Mother Nature growing in your living space.

All the materials and the instructions you need to maintain the water/ temperature/humidity condition best suited for your little garden will be provided, and doing what needs to be done will get increasingly each day. As with all things, there is a learning curve but with the responsiveness of a herb garden, you will find that you learn quite quickly what works and what doesn’t. Having a herb garden kit from which to learn is a definite advantage as you are making only a small investment and you have a great deal of control right from the start, and don’t have to worry about having too many unanswered questions.

You will likely find that once you get started growing your herb garden kit, your interest will grow right along with it and you might likely get hooked.You probably won’t get to the point where you are buying a John Deere and tilling the back 40 (-: , but you may very well become very interested in horticulture and therefore increase your activities in that area.
